from friendship to fellowship

Most Christians settle for friendships and never truly experience fellowship.

Fellowship happens when there’s a horizontal and vertical dimension to interaction. The apostle John writes this about community: “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3). Community always has two dimensions—fellowship with others and fellowship with God. The relationship between two believers is often more friendship void of any spiritual dimension.

So...don't just be friends with Christians. Instead stir one another up by talking about God, His Word, and His work in your life. When you do, you enter into the 'sweet spot' of fellowship. And the sweet spot is sweet.
Are you willing to take the initiative to move your friendship to fellowship?
